"Shohin-Bonsai" - the exquisite art of Japanese tradition gardening culture - has captivated today people throughout the world.
Distinctly unique in style and different from the traditional gardening art of western countries, the pretty of Shohin-Bonsai enthrals and delights people of all ages in every corner of the globe.


In Japan, We hold "GAFUTEN" in Kyoto every January that is the biggest Shohin-Bonsai exhibition.

Shohin-Bonsai is very attractive and "the ultimate hobby" that
gives you peace of mind and mental support. You can enjoy it
with the time by expressing the season, the spread, and the oldness
in your pleasure to make and display and by intesifying the connection
with nature having your deep affection and skills.
You can also express your sense and philosophy.
Why don't you become a member of Shohin-bonsai lovers that enjoy
a "real and living" traditional culture?

         


All Japan Shohin-Bonsai Association has been established
since 1986, and it is a group of Shohin-bonsai lovers
that has 62 chapters all over Japan at the moment.




Association's activities
* We hold "GAFU-TEN" in Kyoto every January
   that is the biggest shohin-bonsai exhibition
   in Japan.
* We hold "SHUNGA-TEN" in Osaka, "HOKURIKU-MIYABI-TEN"
   in Hokuriku area, "SHUGA-TEN" in Tokyo, and
   "KYUSHU-MIYABI-TEN" in Kyushu area.
* We support each exhbition that is held by
   Osaka chapters, Hyogo chapters, Kanagawa
   chapters and Shizuoka chapters.
* We support other exhibitions held by some chapters.
* We authorize and register it as "YUGA-SHOHIN-BONSAI
   & POTS" in order to preserve precious Shohin bonsai,
   pots, and display stands.


 

Member's advantages
1. You can exhibit your works at Gafu-ten, Shunga-ten,
   Shuga-ten, Hokuriku-Miyabi-ten and Kyushu-Miyabi-ten
   on charge.
2. You can buy it by 10% discount at the shop of
   each above exhibition organized by the Association
   that is the member of the Association.
    (There are some exceptions.)
3. You can get a deluxe picture album that contains all
   works exhibited at Gafu-ten.
4. You can enter Gafu-ten exhibition free of charge.
   Another person can enter with you, if you show your
   membership card.
5. You can also get "San-ya-sou to Mini-bonsai"
   magazine every two months(6 copies a year)
.
6. You can participate in training classes supported by
   the Association.
7. You can ask an adaptation of your bonsai on charge.

Entrance guide
* Please fill out the application form and send it to the office with entrance fee and membership fee.
   (Application form is in the office.)
* Entrance fee: JPY3,000&Annual membership fee: JPY12,000
   (Notice:Entrance fee: JPY10,000&Annual membership fee: JPY20,000,
   in case you live outside Japan.)

   (The term of validity of this contract is from April 1 to March 31 of next year.)
* Please make a remittance of membership fee by postal money order, paying into bank, or cash registered mail.
